Summer Gallery is the first part of a three part album: Share in the Creation, being made around the world throughout 2010. It's by Austin Washington (that's me!) + The World.

I mean that quite literally.

Music, anthropologists tell us, existed before speech. There is a reason hearing music live is a TOTALLY different experience than hearing recorded music...and there's a reason "perfect" music sounds so imperfect. Inhuman music is not music...whereas music made in an environment of thousands FEELS different.

These songs are made in an environment of 6 billion people - quite literally.

These songs exist specifically, on the superficial level, because loads of people far more talented that me have contributed to their recording! ;) But as they are my songs, I can tell you they would not exist without you, and they sound the way they sound because of you, and they feel the way they feel because of you.

Music is an interactive form of communication, and although these songs are recorded music - they are the reflections of my actual life - and therefore your lives, all the people I feel the spirits of - through commenting on my FB page, to falling in love with, and everything in between! These songs reflect you.

The "rap" section of Share in the Creation was made in the home of the Secretary to the Vice President of Sicily. I can't compute how that place led to those words ;0 - I just said them, spoke them, "rapped'" them - but the energy of being there, the energy of my friends in Italy...made the music I made there.

And this is true with all my music...it is GENUINELY made by Austin Washington + THE WORLD. That means YOU. It's not flattery, it's absolutely true...
